Last Tuesday after my satellite tv installation Charlotte I sat down on my couch with my bag of popcorn, turned on my TV, and switched the channel over to FOX to watch the Glee season finale.
Glee has introduced many different plots and story lines in its two seasons, and it was exciting to see what would be resolved and what questions would remain. The big question, of course, was if New Directions would win regionals. Longtime viewers knew that they needed to win in order to continue having glee club. However, since I knew that they had been scheduled for a third season, I had no doubt that New Directions would be victorious.
It turns out I was wrong. Vocal Adrenaline, the despicable rival team with that no good Jesse (I absolutely hate this character for what he did to Rachel) ended up taking away the trophy. However, in an interesting turn of events we see Sue’s good side as she sweet talks the principal into one more year of glee. Sue is by far the most entertaining and interesting character on the show.
We also got to see one other plot line resolved that I wasn’t necessarily expecting to see tonight. It’s been difficult to tell exactly how much time has passed since the show started, but it turns out it’s been nine months – just enough time for Quinn to have her baby, which she does. This was a truly touching moment, especially when we see the head coach of Vocal Adrenaline adopt the child. It will be interesting to see how that story line plays out in the future, and if we will see any more of Quinn’s baby.
