Amazing New Zealand
When most people think, New Zealand, hiking in the green hills, lush forests and crystal clear glacier lakes along in your mind. But there is another side of this fascinating island nation and one that is surprisingly affordable, given their nature. White Iceland or Te Puia or Whakaari traditionally called, is only active volcano in New Zealand marine and a visit to the incredible lunar landscape of the island is definitely a possibility, a once-in-a-lifetime.
Getting there
Less than 50 km from the coast of Whakatane in the North Island of New Zealand, hiking the active volcano on White Iceland’s good for everybody. The boat ride to start your adventure and comfortable takes a little longer than 80 minutes.
